This immersive stage experience weaves imagery, music, historical re-enactments, and the intertwined stories of two individuals separated by time yet bound by shared struggles—musician/media artist Kenny Ruffin and his ancestor, Georgia Gordon Taylor, one of the original Fisk Jubilee Singers, a group that introduced American gospel music to the world and fought to prove their artistic and cultural humanity in a post-slavery society.
